Here's what you've told us - we want to hear more!

Thank you for participating in our mapping survey on safer walking and cycling in Crawley during the Covid emergency.

Government funds for the first set of measures for safer, ‘pop up’ cycle routes and walking spaces have been allocated to West Sussex, and these are being planned now. A second set will follow and the information you provide on this site will help determine further measures.

800 responses so far

We’ve had over 800 responses so far and more than 270 specific issues identified at particular locations. This is really useful input, both to help us to plan the right improvements now and to provide evidence when we are looking for further resources and agreements for improvements in the future.

We are working our way through the comments on Commonplace. Several general points are frequently raised:

  • speeding traffic
  • excessive vegetation along paths
  • lack of crossings for walking
  • dangerous conditions for cycling.
  • There are more issues and we would like to hear from more Crawley people.
